Hooters Celebration
A pretty ride down Ridge Road from Orillia to Barrie to celebrate the great riding season we've had so far. The destination was Hooters in Barrie with 30 of us sitting down together at two tables. Lots of fun and good food. Thanks to the Pilgrim for the pictures with more that can be seen by clicking on the Photo Gallery 2012.

Balm Beach
Temperature was a little cool and daylight was soon to run out but we still had a really good turnout for the ride to Balm Beach last Wednesday evening only to find everything closed up for the night. I guess Summer's over.
Next stop was Timmy's in Midland to get warmed up for the ride home. Thanks to John T. for the pictures.

Midland Toy Ride & Wiarton Willy
Despite overcast and threatening clouds, many of our members turned out for the Annual Midland Toy Ride sponsored by the CMH and the Salavation Army last Saturday. Great, well organized ride, great free pizza and a truly great cause. Thanks to everyone for your support.
This ride was followed on Sunday by a ride in search of Wiarton Willy lead by Ron Hare. Beautiful ride through the rolling countryside of the Niagara Escarpment and along the shores of Georgian Bay and yes we did find Wiarton Willy, or at least a monument to him. Thanks Ron and also to Bev for some of the pictures. More can be seen by clicking on the Photo Gallery 2012.

From Grey County to the Chainsaw Artist
Sunny and cool was the start of our ride today to Grey County and a lunch stop in Singhampton. This was followed by pretty scenery of Grey 13 to Thornberry and on to Wasaga Beach for a much needed coffee stop, one in and one out if you know what I mean. Finally through Moonstone road and a stop to see the Chainsaw Art carved into trees at the side of the road. Thanks to Glenn McGill for leading this ride, especially around the rain clouds in the morning and to Jim and Roger that took care of our collective butts at the back of the group.

The Big One
This past Wednesday evening was the last Bike Night of the season in Gravenhurst, a sure sign of Fall coming. This was followed by Haugan's BIG ONE in Port Perry where we had another great turnout of members including Brian Ineson on his brand new Gold Wing. Congratulation Brian, he now has more buttons to push on that bike than he knew existed. The weather was absolutely perfect but I think they fell way short of the thousand bikes that would normally turn out, still a good night though. Some pictures here thanks to the Pilgrim and Ron who sent them to me this morning, great job.

Hockey Night in Canada
Perfect weather was the order of the day for a ride through Coldwater and Port Severn then on to Don Cherry's restaurant in Parry Sound before heading along the beautiful hwy. 518 through Orrville in search of another Canadian hockey legend, Bobby Orr. Well, we didn't see either one of them but the ride was spectacular. Fall colors are starting to show in places, seems to me that the timing is right on track. Thanks to Brian Ineson for the pictures, hopefully more will arrive soon. Also thanks to Beverley for working at putting a comment on last Wednesday's post.
