Despite the gloomy weather forecast, last Sunday morning in Orillia presented itself as clear skies and calm winds so the hasty decision was made to make the trip north through Algonquin Park to see the Fall colors. The sunny conditions lasted almost to Huntsville then changed to overcast skies and light drizzle but somehow didn't dampen anyone's spirits.
Fall colors in the Park were at their peak, the best I've ever seen, pretty difficult to capture the sight on camera but thanks to some of our members, they gave it a good shot.
One little hiccup was when we arrived at Whitney for lunch, they were all out of gas. Fortunately the fuel truck pulled in while lunch was being served.
By the time I went through Orillia on the way home, the evening sky was ablaze with color promising a beautiful day to follow, an end to a perfect day with great companions.
Thanks to all those that participated including Steve and the Pilgrim that lead this ride and to Karl that served as Blocker and Tail Gunner. Here are some of your pictures, the rest can be seen in the Photo Gallery.
